FAQ
What is Yoga?
The word yoga means union,
uniting the body and the mind using the breath. The use of the
breath and the specific movements performed in yoga result in
greater strength and suppleness as well as a more relaxed state of
mind not just in yoga class but in everyday life. See the homepage
for more specifics on the benefits of yoga
Where are we located?
Baraboo Yoga is located on the
2nd floor of the Baraboo Arts building (the former Industrial Coils
space, and before that part of the Ringling Brothers offices). We
are just across the street from the Baraboo River, just a little bit
west of Circus World Museum. Our address is 321 Water Street. Just
look for the white door and the white and blue sign, park on the
street or in the lot across from us, enter through the white door
and come up the stairs to our beautiful and light-filled studio.
Who are the teachers?
Julia Bower, Certified Yoga
Teacher, is the owner of Baraboo Yoga. Julia is certified in hatha
yoga, but has been influenced by many styles, including vinyasa
(flow) yoga. She loves to introduce new students to yoga, and to
make previously "hard" poses more accessible to experienced
students. She specializes in yoga therapy, offering private
one-to-one sessions to help students use yoga to heal from chronic
pain and injury.
Stephanie Pavick, is certified in Ashtanga Yoga.
Tatsiana O'Neill, is certified
in Kripalu Yoga. (Tatsiana is currently away completing her degree,
she will return on semester break late this year)
Rhonda Siebecker teaches belly dance with passion and flair. Her
classes have a fun girls' night out atmosphere and she encourages
women of all ages and all sizes to join in the fun.
